Sweet Beans!

Cristina’s Culinary Cabaret is a locally owned small business out of the suburbs of Atlanta, GA.  I am a Meal Creator and Food Coach, and specialize in showing you how to ditch pre-packaged foods and cook with ingredients you can pronounce so you eat healthier.

If you need some easy recipes (that actually WORK), which use simple ingredients, with no high fructose corn syrup, fillers, chemicals, additives or stuff you can’t even enunciate,  you are in the right place.

I want to make your kitchen your happy place so you can do what you do best: EAT HEALTHIER.

Who I am (so existential 😆)

I’m Cristina (without the "h").  I am an upstate New York born Italian girl who relocated to Georgia.  I have been surrounded by food, really good food, my entire life. My mother, an immigrant from Bari, Italy, is the inspiration behind all of my cooking and my father, a very funny American born Irishman, is the inspiration behind my bread baking.

I started as a micro bakery business, in January 2019, baking fresh bread out of my home due to the fact that my family experienced a temporary double loss of income.  For five weeks we were on food stamps and received food from a food bank.  To supplement our income during this time, I baked fresh Italian bread and sold it locally on Facebook marketplace, at a local farm stand and at a local butcher shop.  It was a big hit.

Then COVID came along (doom music).

My bread business tanked (sad face).

Despite these events coupled with the fact that I had valuable information to offer, I created my own YouTube channel, Cristina's Culinary Cabaret, to pass along my culinary knowledge.  This is where cooking and humor come together. When you think of it, the best education is the one that comes with a bit of entertainment thrown in.

Before you open a box, order take out, get fast food or throw away all your pots in frustration, check out my cooking videos. The recipes you see on my channel are the recipes that I make for my family too.

Ciao for now!

PS. I am also a Certified Health Coach alumni from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

My greatest accomplishment was figuring out how to make homemade dairy free baby formula for my newborn daughter who was born with a severe and painful casein and whey allergy.  I was unable to nurse and hated the ingredients in commercial formula anyway so this was a natural progression of the way I wanted to use food as a healing agent.

Against all odds, knowing no one who did this and without the blessing of my then pediatrician, I made it from scratch on a wing and a prayer and never looked back.  I also gave this formula to my infant son when he was born.  Like my bread, it was a big hit.  My youngest received donated breast milk, which my amazing midwife trustfully and safely sourced on our behalf.

As you can see in the photos below they are all thriving.

And normal, no? 😆
